A victim to my own paralysis
I pay tribute to fear and self-doubt
In a montage of inactive hesitance
Too worried about constant admissions
I offer no more than pebble reflections
Scant compromise between opposite poles
Of revelation and personal discretion
Condemning the stoics and romantics as well
For imposing such an impossible burden
On a scale from faith to hidden confession
No less alike among peer than companion
Whose reactions can never be known
